<Recluse> DM1.. do you try to go for the MH room or the railgun first? What's more important, weapons or armor?

[16:13] <Makaveli`> When i spawn by the water, i assume they spawn by lower rl. I usually run up take the backpack, 100h, and wait to see which direction they go to either grab chain, or drop to the middle and grab the armor and hyper. It all depends on what i hear them doing. But the backpack is very important i think, having that extra 100 bullets for the chain really does help

[16:14] <Makaveli`> Every now and then tho, i'll just grab the rail :) I like that gun :)

<Recluse> If you know Immy is full on health/armor and has a railgun, what do you do? (Me too)

[16:16] <Makaveli`> Wow thats a tough one. Well, first thing is to avoid open areas. When he has control with a rail, it's VERY hard to get control back from him. Most important thing would be to get an rl and chaingun. He tends to use rail more than he should sometimes, because of his awesome aim, so i try to just force him out of the 100h room to get some armor, then play a little defensive and hope he makes a mistake.

[16:17] <Makaveli`> But without a rail to fight back with, he keeps his distance well, and you are kind of a sitting duck when you're fighting him.

<Recluse> Timing is important, especially when your opponent has a rail. Is that something that is learned or is it instinctive.. knowing when to move and when to fake your opponent into shooting a slug to be 'able' to move etc..

[16:20] <Makaveli`> I think its more on instinct than timing. I just have a feeling when ppl are going to shoot, its really weird. I take pride in the fact i can make somebody miss several times before they get a hit. Timing shots tho just takes a lot of experience, a good player who plays a map a bunch will learn how long it takes for somebody to run from point A to point B and to time a rocket to hit there at the right time.

<Recluse> heh. Let's talk about strategy Immy.. what are some things you do to gain the upper hand. Tell us about what you do if you're losing and need to comeback, or if you have control how you retain it. Let's get inside Immortals head and see what's banging around in there.

[15:07] <immortal> To get the upperhand? it depends where I respawn.. give me an example.

<Recluse> DM1, respawn near the water.

[15:08] <immortal> Ok that what I thought you were gonna say :)

<Recluse> enemy has control over MH room..

[15:08] <immortal> well first of all when the game starts, I would listen to see if he grabbed the 2 grenades

[15:08] <immortal> if he's not there, I assume he respawns at the lower rl, so I go in to get the rail

[15:08] <immortal> oh ok..

[15:08] <immortal> if he respawns in the MH room I would go up the stairs and retreat towards the ssg

[15:09] <immortal> i would take the back route to the Lower RL and wait around there until i listen to where he is

[15:09] <immortal> if he's jumpin for 100h I would grab the lower rl and go up the elevator

[15:09] <immortal> I assume he has the chaingun , so I'm not going to go in the room

[15:09] <immortal> I would stay out around the elevator and when its safe, jump down to the 50armor

[15:09] <immortal> and then go back up the elevator(once again, if its safe)

[15:10] <immortal> I'd probaly go down near the chaingun and peak in the 100h room to see if he's there

[15:10] <immortal> By now the other 50armor would have respawned,so if he's not there I would jump for that.. then the chaingun would be back.. i'd get that

[15:10] <immortal> and I'd probably go towards the railgun... and grab the ammo there

[15:10] <immortal> where would he be now?

<Recluse> You tell me. ;)

[15:11] <immortal> if I hear him in the 100h room i'd go underground and come out in the open arena

<Recluse> Ok, how bout this..

[15:11] <immortal> and go up the stairs & elevator and grab the Hyperblaster

[15:11] <immortal> depending if the person you are playing is stupid, he would probably jump into the water

[15:11] <immortal> if he did then I would probably get control

<Recluse> You're outside near the water in the open, he's on the ledge near the MH room with a railgun and chain.

[15:12] <immortal> (going in water= free kill)

[15:12] <immortal> He wouldn't have a rail :)

<Recluse> Let's say he does.. another scenario. ;)

[15:12] <immortal> Haha ok..

[15:12] <immortal> if that's the case, what weapons do i have :) ?

<Recluse> Rail you just picked up. Machinegun maybe.

<Recluse> you have 100h no armor.. he's loaded

[15:13] <immortal> well I'm probably toast then...

<Recluse> hahah

[15:13] <immortal> I would stay in the water

[15:13] <immortal> Peek out and scope where he is..

[15:13] <immortal> Then I'd go back into the rail gun room

[15:13] <immortal> I'd sit in there for about a minute

[15:13] <immortal> make him come in

[15:13] <immortal> and just hope that i can rail him 2-3 times before he kills me with chaingun

<Recluse> heh.. Cool :)
